Arthur H Hale

     Arthur H. “Bub” Hale, 82 of Dugger, Indiana passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital.

            He was born in Pleasantville, Indiana March 30, 1935 the son of Arthur D. Hale and Glotien  Bedwell Hale.

            Arthur retired from Peabody Coal Co., he was a member of the UMWA Local #1410, and a member of the Pleasantville United Methodist Church. He loved hunting and fishing and telling stories.

            He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mary Francis Boone Hale, in August, 1995, a brother, Ron Hale and sister, Karen Hale.

            Survivors include one son, Arthur Allen Hale (Kayla) of Dugger, IN, two brothers, John Hale (Sue) of Pleasantville, IN , David Hale (Dorothy) of Pleasantville, IN, a sister, Nodie Jerrells (Jim) of Linton, IN, two grandchildren, Cara Gambill (Ryan), Cali Hale, and one great grandson, Aedan Gambill.

            Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Newkirk’s Funeral Home with Bro. Buford Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Moriah Cemetery.

            Visitation will be from 11:00AM until services Saturday.

                        In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Pleasantville United Methodist Food Pantry.
