Bertha Evelyn (Miller) Davies

                        Bertha Evelyn Davies, 81, of Jasonville, Indiana, passed away on Friday, November 10, 2017, at her home surrounded by family.

            She was born on July 30, 1936, in Cass, Indiana, the daughter of Ted Miller and Elsie Louise Ridge Miller. She worked at the chair factory, RCA, and retired from General Electric. She graduated as a proud Dugger Bulldog from Union High School.    

            She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband and father of her children, Donald E. Anderson, and her second husband, William H. Davies, four brothers, William Miller, Roy Miller, Tom Miller, and Ernie Miller, and two sisters, Mildred Wilson, and Marge Doane.

Survivors include her son Kevin Anderson of Louisville, Kentucky, her daughter Kathi Anderson of Silver City, New Mexico, a sister Phyllis Miller of Linton, and two grandchildren, Josh and Amanda, and to her great fortune, an extended family too numerous to mention by name.

            Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, November 18, 2017, at Newkirk’s Funeral Home in Dugger. Interment will follow in New Lebanon Cemetery located in Midland, Indiana. A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, November 17, 2017, at Newkirk’s.
