Norma L (Lockhart) Hughes

Norma L. Hughes, 83, of Linton, IN passed away at 10:40AM Thursday,   January 11, 1018 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital.

            She was born in Greene Co., IN January 12, 1934 the daughter of Dova Lockhart and Rosa Benton Lockhart.

            Norma was formerly employed at Winn Dixie, Hughes Electronics in CA,  General Electric in Linton and was also a Quality Control Operator. She was a member of the Linton American Legion Auxiliary Post #22.

            She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles D. Hughes, also two brothers Leonard, Dova Jr. and three sisters, Blanche, June and Barbara.

            Survivors include a daughter, Cathy Phipps (Dewayne) of Linton, a son Garry Fathauer (Karen) of Florida, five grandchildren, Dewayne Phipps Jr, Jessica D. Kaho, Garry Fathauer Jr, Scott Fathauer, and Melana.

            Norma was a beloved mother, she loved to go eat fish at Cow Town in Carlisle, steak at the OutBack and biscuits and gravy at Hardees’s

            No Memorial service is scheduled. A family gathering at the Fairview Cemetery will be 1:00PM Saturday, January 20, 2018 to remember her life.

            Arrangements were entrusted to Newkirk’s Funeral Home in Dugger, IN.
