She enjoyed her family and researching genealogy on her Boone family. She also enjoyed working in her community, serving 7 years with Dugger and Sullivan County Boy Scout Programs. She served as an officer in PTO, was a room mother and was Parade Champion for the Homecoming Parade for several years, including Dugger Centennial Parade of 1979.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James, four brothers, Charles W, Robert, James, and Harold Boone, and four sisters, Betty Skaggs, Mary Brenton, Joan Axe, and Patricia Boone.

Survivors include her two sons, Darell Cunningham of Dugger, and Greg Cunningham of Dugger, six grandchildren, Drake Cunningham, Jarrett Lannan (Courtney), Britt Lannon (Bailey), Hayden and Cohen Lannan, and Tara Wolf (fiancé Andrew), one sister, Brenda Jones of Beech Grove, Indiana, her Cunningham family, and many special nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 14, 2017, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Newkirk’s Funeral Home in Dugger, Indiana. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 15, 2017, at Newkirk’s with Pastor Carl Williams officiating. Interment is to follow at the Dugger Cemetery.

The family requests that any monetary donations be made to the Harold C Boone Scholarship Fund at the Dugger Masonic Lodge, Dugger Legion Auxiliary, or Dugger Coal Museum.
