Robert E Brown

Robert E. Brown, 91, of Switz City, IN passed away at his residence Saturday, November 18, 2017.

He was born in Greene Co., IN August 8, 1926, the son of John Russell Brown Sr. and Mary M. Hayden Brown.

Robert was a WWII Army Veteran, retired from Crane Naval Depot, and was a Member and Elder of the First Christian Church in Switz City, IN.

He was preceded in death by his parents, also his first wife, Barbara L. Arthur Brown in 2006, a brother, John Russell Brown Jr., and a step son, Bryant Scott.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Denney Scott Brown, one son, James Robert Brown (Jan) of Upland CA, daughter, Sandra Kay English (Larry) of Terre Haute, IN, a step son, Todd Scott of Oklahoma, OK., two grandchildren, Adam Christopher English (Emily), Susan Albano (Peter), two step grandchildren, Austin and Hunter Scott and four great grandchildren, Jacob, Abigail, Shelby and Joseph.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 1:00PM with Rev. Chris Gehring officiating and Military graveside rites by the Lyons and Linton American Legion Posts at Switz City Cemetery in Switz City, Indiana. There will be a private family visitation. Arrangements were entrusted to Newkirk’s Funeral Home.
