Robert E Richardson Sr.

Robert E. Richardson Sr., Age 74 of Linton, IN. passed away peacefully Friday, March 03, 2017 at his residence surrounded by family members. Born in Dugger, IN. on April 26, 1942 to Charles E. and Lily O. (Blough) Richardson. Robert was a graduate of Union Dugger High School in 1960. He was also a veteran of the United States Marine Corp., having served during the Vietnam War era. Robert retired from Crane N.S.W.C. as an Explosives Technician in 1997.

Robert is survived by his wife of 13 years, Linda L. Richardson, 3 sons Robert E. Richardson Jr. and wife Michelle of Bloomfield, IN., Mark A. Richardson and wife Chasity of Worthington, IN., and Donald R. Richardson and fiancé Rhonda K. Hoover of Lyons, IN., Step-son Johnny Reeves and friend Misty Plew of Linton, IN., and one Step-daughter Rhonda S. Wilburn and husband Tyrone Wilburn of Water Valley, MS. He is also survived by 33 Grandchildren and Great-Grand-children, along with several nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by his first wife of 36 years Barbara R. (Greenwood) Richardson, his father and mother, four brothers, Charles, Raymond, James and Terry Wayne along with 1 sister Nellie (Richardson) Meyers.

Funeral services will be held at Newkirk’s Funeral Home in Dugger, IN. at 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 7, 2017 with the Pastor Brian Patterson officiating. Visitation will be Monday, March 6, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. There will be a Military grave side service by the Linton American Legion Post # 22.  Interment will follow in the Longs Chapel Cemetery.
