Sharon K (Ray) Jeffers

                        Sharon K Jeffers, 74, of Dennison, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana.

            She was born on February 5, 1943, in Linton, Indiana, the daughter of Mervel Ray and Katherine Stines Ray. Sharon was a member of United Methodist Temple. She worked as a dental technician at John’s Dental Laboratory and retired in 2007.

            She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Jeffers, three daughters, Tammy Long (Rod) of Terre Haute, Pam Welsh (Martin) of Monticello, Indiana, and Melissa Young (Matthew) of Robinson, Illinois, two step-daughters, Dawn Reisinger (Max) of Terre Haute, Kim Kump of (West Terre Haute, three brothers, Bill Ray (Linda) of Knox, Indiana, Chuck Ray of Eminence, Indiana, and Walter Ray (Jamie) of Linton, four sisters, Linda Cooksey of Indianapolis, Shirley Haskins (Danny) of Linton, Judy Cox (Rocky) of Midland, Caroline Brown (Bob) of Jasonville, thirteen grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

            Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Saturday, December 30, 2017, at Newkirk’s Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Drane officiating. Interment will follow in Lebanon Cemetery located in Midland. Friends may call from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Saturday.
