Thomas Walters

Thomas Walters, 67 of Sullivan, IN passed away Monday June 26, 2017 at Sullivan Community Hospital. He was born April 20, 1950 in Sullivan County, IN to Lewis Franklin Walters and Beverly Geraldine (Jewell) Walters. He was a retired maintenance worker for the State of Indiana at Terre Haute Air National Guard; he served on the Town of Dugger board for 23 years. Tom was a soft ball coach for eleven years; he loved to hunt and fish. Tom was a father to two children and four grandchildren which he loved very much.

            He was preceded in death by his parents.  

            Survivors include Rita Walters of Sullivan, IN, one son, Tommy Walters (Carla) of Carlisle, IN, one daughter, Tamra Walters Holley (Ted) of Dugger, IN, two sisters, Nancy Ammerman (Gerald) of TX,  Rose Walters (John Cerny) of FL, four grandchildren, Jorden Walters, Dash Walters, Kelsea Holley and Tommi Joy Holley, and six step grandchildren, Enlow Branson, Josh Branson, Paul Branson, Nick Branson, Jerri Ann Branson, and Bella Branson.

            A celebration of life will be held at Newkirk’s Funeral Home in Dugger, IN from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Saturday, July 8, 2017.
