Billy E Pirtle

Billy E. Pirtle, 76, of Dugger, IN went to be with the Lord at his residence Monday, December 9, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.

            He was born in Sullivan, IN on December 11, 1942 the son of Lloyd Pirtle and Anna (Bailey) Pirtle.

            Billy was a retired Peabody Coal Miner, served on the Dugger Town Council Board for 24 Years, and the Sullivan County Council Board for 1 ½ years. He was a member of the Dugger Church of Christ. Billy was an avid bird hunter, and golfer.

            He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Kenneth Pirtle.  

            Survivors include his wife of 58 years Susy (McCammon) Pirtle whom he married on August 19, 1961, son, Mark Pirtle (Belinda) of Dugger, IN,  daughter, Marni Brown of Paoli, IN, two sisters, Betty Horne (Steve) of Dugger, IN, Vicki Talpas of Dugger, IN four grandchildren, Makaylee Gentry (Ross), Kaleb Pirtle (Tyra), Taylor Nachreiner ( Jacob), Jalen Pigg, one great granddaughter due in May, and several Nieces and Nephews.

            Funeral services will be held at Newkirk’s Funeral Home in Dugger, IN on Thursday December 12, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. with Brother Nick Moore officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday December 11, 2019 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Interment will follow at Dugger Cemetery in Dugger, IN.
