Steven Dewayne Stewart

Steven Dewayne Stewart, 26, of Linton, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at Linton, Indiana.

He was born on December 28, 1992 in Sullivan, Indiana the son of Tony Stewart and Sherry Stewart. Steven graduated from Linton Stockton High School and worked construction for several years specializing in masonry. Steven had such a beautiful spirit, loved his family and friends. He enjoyed several forms of art, adventure of every kind, anything with wheels including his unicycle and being with his loved ones whether it be family or friends.   

Preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; Richard & Patsy Risley, paternal and grandfather, Charles Stewart Sr.

Survivors include his mother, Sherry Stewart (Marvin Owens) of Linton, Indiana, father, Tony (Julia) Stewart of Linton, Indiana, sisters; Stephenie (Brock) Howell of Linton, Indiana and Samantha Stewart (Steven McCombs) of Linton, Indiana, brother, Sean (Bria) Stewart of Linton, Indiana, two nephews; Andrew Alexander and Nolan Stewart, three nieces; Abbegail Howell, Chloe and Lilah McCombs, maternal great-grandmother, Cressie “Peggy” Burch of Bloomington, Indiana, paternal grandmother, Nancy Seals of Linton, Indiana. Steven is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Friday, May 24, 2019 at Newkirk’s Funeral Home in Dugger, Indiana with Minister James Stone officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery located in Linton, Indiana. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Friday, May 24, 2019 at Newkirk’s Funeral Home in Dugger, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers the family requested that memorial contributions be made to the Newkirk’s Funeral Home.
