William B Maxey

William (Bill) Bruce Maxey, 67 of Merom, passed away on Thursday February 21st 2019 st Regional Hospital in Terre Haute. 

Bill was born in Sullivan on September 14, 1951 to Bob and Wilma (Bedwell)  Maxey. He was an employee of the City of Sullivan for a number of years. Bill loved spending time with his family and close friends.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, 1 sister Vickie Bennett, 2 nephews Shane Wright and Mitchell Maxey, a very special sister in law Susan Sickora, both sets of grandparents and many aunts and uncles. 

Survivors include his children Melissa(Chris) Spradlin of Merom and Chad(Leticia) Maxey of Dugger.  3 brothers Tom(Connie) Reed of Terre Haute, Bob(Sandra) Maxey of Richmond and Brian(Joyce) Maxey of Dayton, Ohio. 1 sister Debbie Maxey(Gerald Wright) of Oaktown. Former wife of 20+ years Sally Newll of Palestine, Ill. 10 grandchildren Sierra, Robert, Cheyenne, Mercedes and Jordan Heady of Merom, Tylor Maxey of Freelandville, Chance(Kaila) Hollifield of Sullivan, Jackie( George) Isbell of North Carolina, Riley and Lucy Spradlin of Brazil. 8 great grandchildren, 10 neices and nephews and many other close family and friends.

A celebration of Life will be held at Newkirk Funeral Home in Dugger Ind on Wednesday February 27th 2019 from 10am - 12pm with Reverend Erich Blevins officiating. 

The family is asking that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Newkirk Funeral home to help with funeral costs.
