Doris Frances (Boone) Bedwell

Doris Frances (Boone) Bedwell, 89 of La Porte, IN passed away peacefully at her son’s home in Noblesville, IN Saturday, September 19, 2020.

            She was born in Carlisle, IN March 19, 1931 the daughter of Frank Boone and Pauline (Neal) Boone.

            She was a life long member of the Church of Christ and worshipped at the Shady Lane Church of Christ in Michigan City, IN.

            Doris enjoyed teaching all her life and was the owner of B & B Ceramics for over 20 years. She went on to teach the art of creating porcelain dolls in her home.

            She was married to Bobbie Lee Bedwell on May 19, 1949, and he preceded her in death May 6, 2003, she was also preceded in death by her parents, a son, Dennis Ray Bedwell, daughter, Judy Darlene Bedwell, five brothers, Lowell, Norval, Allen, Donis, and Carl Bedwell.

            Survivors include two sons, Roger Bedwell and wife Debra of Noblesville IN, Darin Bedwell and wife Lisa of La Porte, IN, a brother, Gary Boone and wife Elaine of Linton, IN, two grandchildren, Tyler Bedwell and wife Sarah, and Seth Bedwell, two great grandchildren, Ella, and Mia Bedwell.

            There will be a graveside service  held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at the Bethany Cemetery in Carlisle, IN with Bro. Mark Newton officiating.

            Arrangements were entrusted to Newkirk’s Funeral Home.
