Larry E. “Bootjack” Reynolds 76, of Dugger, IN passed away Thursday, September 3, 2020 at Sullivan Co Community Hospital.
He was born in Sullivan, Indiana on December 24, 1943 to Harold E. “Bootjack” Reynolds and Ella L. (Marshall) Reynolds.
Larry graduated from Union High School and went on to attend Indiana State University. He was a member of the Dugger Masonic Lodge #721, the Linton Elks #866. He also was the recipient of the Sagamore of the Wabash Award.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Jack Reynolds, sister and brother- in-law Wink and Sue Goodman, brother-in-law Rodney Smallwood, daughter in-law, Tracy Reynolds, and a niece, Carrie Prante and his good friend Joe Smith.
Left to mourn his passing are his wife of 56 years Penny (Smallwood) Reynolds, whom he married on January 25, 1964, sister-in-laws, Evelyn Smallwood, Clara Eccles and Pamela Smallwood. Three sons, Mark Reynolds (Sara) of Evansville, IN, David Reynolds (Paula) of Monrovia, IN, Craig Reynolds (Melly) of Dugger, IN, a daughter, Heidi Pigg (Dane) of Linton, IN, six grandchildren, Jackson Reynolds, Jared Reynolds, Madison Reynolds, Megan Reynolds, Tietje Pigg and Cody Pigg. Great-grandchildren, Isaac Reynolds and Abigail Reynolds. Several nieces and nephews, Pam LeDune (Eric), Peggy Goodman, Pat Goodman (Doug), Polly Shaw (Michael), Connie Mueller (Dan), Debbie Skidmore (Lindsey), Kelly Rumberg (John), Todd Eccles, Matt Eccles, Julie McCann (Michael), Stephanie Dye (Ted), Burke Page and Bret Page, and cousins, Judy Williams, Pat Darnell, Linda Ridge, Cathy King, Sue German, and Betty Peeler and special friend and neighbor Linda Smith and his dog Lottie.
Funeral services will be at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at Newkirk’s Funeral Home with a Masonic service. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
