Chloe (Secrest) Gambill

Chloe (Secrest) Gambill, 96 of Dugger, IN departed to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday January 13, 2018, at her daughter’s residence in Enon, OH.

          She was born December 28, 1921, the daughter of Robert Elzo Secrest and Martha (Pierson) Secrest. Chloe was a loving homemaker and dedicated her entire life to caring for her children and many grandchildren.  She attended the Howesville Church of God.

          Chloe was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of sixty years, Herbert Gambill Sr., two sons, Carl Gambill and John Gambill, three brothers, Herbert Secrest, Frank Secrest, and Henry Secrest .

          She leaves behind one son, Herb Gambill (Carolyn) of Dugger, IN, one daughter, Anna Ranard of Enon, OH, one daughter-in-law, Kay Gambill of Dugger, IN, two brothers, John Secrest of Linton, IN, Ray Secrest (Shirley) of IL, and one sister, Mary Chanley of Linton, IN.  She was blessed with eighteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren and eleven great-great grandchildren.

          Funeral services will be held at Newkirk’s Funeral Home in Dugger, IN, on January 18, 2018, at 2:00, with Pastor Phil Bilyeu. Friends may call on January 18, 2018, from 12:00 PM until the time of the funeral at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow in the Dugger Cemetery.
