Doris M (Mitchell) Suttles

            Doris Suttles, 83, of Linton, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2018, at her daughter’s home.

            She was born on November 23, 1934, in Pleasantville, the daughter of Roy Mitchell and Chloe Rooksberry Mitchell.

            She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clifford Suttles, four brothers, Bobby, Virgil, Bill, and Everett Mitchell, and one sister Judy Mitchell.

Survivors include her son Dennis Suttles (Sheri) of Bloomington, daughter Julie Ann Killion (Rick) of Sullivan, brothers Booner Mitchell of Linton, Larry Mitchell (Mary) of Cloverdale, John Mitchell (Sandra) of Danville, sisters Carol Butler of Linton, Anna Earle of Linton, and Dorothy Bruce of Terre Haute, six grandchildren Jason Suttles of Martinsville, Kristen Mann (Andrew of Sturgis, KY, Rocky Mason (Natasha) of Sullivan, Hollie Neff of Sullivan, Max Killion (Victoria) of Indianapolis, and Dusty Mizell (Jessica) of Bloomington, thirteen great-grandchildren Wyatt Neff, Destiny Herr, Breanna McKay, Gavin McKay, Bradly Mann, Abby Graves, Jett Mason, Mark Burgett, Collin Shroyer, Grace Shroyer, Isaac Rubeck, Kylee Mizell, and Case Mason arriving in 2019.

            Per her request, there will be a graveside service only at 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 10, 2018, at Fairview Cemetery with Pastor Jason Suttles officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family requested that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society to fight Glioblastoma Multiforme, brain cancer.

Arrangements were entrusted to Newkirk’s Funeral Home in Dugger.
