James Robert Goodman

James Robert “Bob” Goodman, 83, of Dugger, IN passed away at his residence Monday, September 10, 2018.

            He was born in Sullivan, IN December 8, 1934 the son of George Goodman and Pauline Fifer Goodman.

            Bob was a member of the Dugger Masonic Lodge #721, he was an Army Veteran, a farmer, and was retired from Peabody Coal Mine.

            He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Sharon Arnold Goodman, two daughters, Karmela Camden and Kathie Starnes, and a sister, Betty Lou Moore.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Kelsey Goodman, a daughter, Kelly Moore (Tim) of Taylorsville, IN, a son, Jeff Smith (Timi) of Dugger, IN, sister Norma Jean Meeks of Dugger, and seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

            Funeral services will be at 11:00AM Friday, September 14, 2018 at Newkirk’s Funeral Home with Brock Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the Dugger Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 8:00PM Thursday with Masonic services at 7:00PM.
