James R Horne

James R Horne, 86 of Boonville, IN passed Saturday, June 24, 2017 at his home.

He was born January 16, 1931 in Sullivan County to John Horne and Helen (Hindman) Horne.

            He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Phyllis J. Horn. James was a retired supervisor for Peabody Coal Company, a member of St. Johns Church of Christ in Boonville, IN and the Masonic Lodge # 721.

            Survivors include two daughters, Sheryle Stephens (Kenneth) of Boonville, IN and Cindy Donnelly (Bob) of Indianapolis, IN, three brothers, Steve Horne (Betty) of Dugger, IN, Stan Horne (Vicky) of Linton, IN. Jack Horne (Barbara) of Kenosha, WI, five grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.

            Funeral services will be held at Newkirk’s Funeral Home in Dugger, IN at 1:00 PM Wednesday June 28, 2017 with Pastor Jody Jones officiating. Visitation will be 11:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will follow in the Dugger Cemetery.
