Karen Jean (Hansens) Messel

Karen Jean Messel, 73 of Sandborn, IN passed away at her residence May 26, 2018.

                        She was born August 16, 1944, the daughter of Winfred Hansen and Helen Stevens Hansen.

She was formerly employed at Sunbeam.

                        Karen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Johnny Lee Messel, two brothers, William and Joe Hansen.

                        Survivors include one son, Calvin Messel (Sharlet) of Sandborn, IN, two sisters, Pat Squires of Lyons, IN and Loretta Weaver of Lyons, IN, four grandchildren, John David Messel, Lynn Marie Alexander, Loretta Eaglin, and Edward Hall, and five great grandchildren.

                        Funeral services will be held at Newkirk’s Funeral Home in Dugger, IN Thursday, May 31th, 2018 at 1:00 PM.  Friends may call from 12:00 PM until the time of the service. Interment will follow in Bicknell Memorial Cemetery.
