Marilyn Jean (Alumbaugh) McGhee

                        Marilyn Jean McGhee, 77, of Cass, Indiana, passed away on Friday, April 7, 2017, at her home in Cass.

            She was born on May 31, 1939, in Sullivan County the daughter of Lester Wayne Alumbaugh and Zenophia McCammon Alumbaugh. Marilyn was a member of Cass Methodist Church. 

            She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard McGhee, and one daughter, Kathy Bedwell.

Survivors include one son, Rodney McGhee (Connie) of Dugger, one daughter, Tammy Mechem (Scott) of Anderson, two brothers, Monte Alumbaugh (Shelia) of Dugger, and Jerry Alumbaugh of Hymera, five grandchildren, Chad and Jeff McGhee, Chris Bedwell (Jessica), Lacee Flewellen (Mark Noon) and Nick Mechem (Brittanie), seven great-grandchildren, Shaye, Cavan, and Dre McGhee, Jadin Bedwell, Breely, and Carter Flewellen, and Sophie Mechem, special friends, Judy and Brent Wayman, nieces, nephews, neighbors, and friends.

            Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at Newkirk’s Funeral Home in Dugger, with Pastor Shawn Farris officiating. Interment will follow in Dugger Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Monday, April 10, 2017, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Newkirk’s Funeral Home.
