MayBelle McDaniel Zimmerman, 69 of Jasonville, IN, went to be with our Lord and our Savior on Saturday April 22, 2017 at Shakamak Good Samaritan Home, with family by her side.

            MayBelle loved camping, being outdoors with the Boy Scout troop # 1147, needle point and sharing time with her family, friends and dearest friends, the late Pete and Idella Sherman. MayBelle worked 17 years at Good Samaritan Health Center in Jasonville, IN. before retiring. She was a member of the Hymera Independent Community Church.

            MayBelle was born December 4, 1947. She was the daughter of Owen Everett McDaniel and Lorene May Butler McDaniel of Newark, IN; she was born in Linton, IN. at the Freeman City Hospital. MayBelle attended Calverstville Elementary School and continued to Bloomfield High School graduating in 1965. MayBelle worked on her family’s tobacco farm until she met and married her husband Roy Lewis Zimmerman Sr. on January 18, 1971. Over 46 years MayBelle and Roy raised three children, Lorene Shroyer (Lisa), Juanita Chattin (Brandon) and Roy Zimmerman Jr. and his late fiancé, Amanda Collins all of Jasonville, IN.    

            She was preceded in death by her parents, father in law and mother in law, Grove and Anna Mae Zimmerman, one infant son, Marvin Lewis Zimmerman, one  infant daughter, Sandy Lynn Zimmerman, one sister, Margaret Ann McDaniel, one brother, Charles Owen McDaniel, and one brother in law, Denzil Zimmerman.

            Maybelle enjoyed her grandchildren over the past 25 years, Elizabeth Lawrence Moyer (Justin) of Jasonville, IN, Allissa Lawrence and fiancé Dunarro Louer of Paris TN, Trey Yoder of Huntington, IN, Madison Collins of Switz City, IN, Briley, Katlyn, Jamie Chattin of Jasonville, IN, and Wyatt Zimmerman of Jasonville, IN, several cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, brother in laws and sister in laws,. She enjoyed spending time and sharing stories with them, it filled her heart with joy.

            A celebration of life will be held at the Boy Scout building in Jasonville, IN on Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

            The family asked you to come and share Maybelle’s life and memories. In lieu of flowers the family asked that donations be made to The MayBelle Zimmerman Hardship Fund.
