Monie M Smith

Monie Smith, 81, formally of Dugger, IN, passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Glenburn Nursing Home in Linton, IN.

Monie was born on August 7, 1936 in Sullivan County, IN to James Albert Smith and Ruth (Hubble) Smith. He retired from R.C.A. as a retired lineman.

Monie was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, William T. Smith and one sister, Judy Smith Gennicks.

Survivors include one brother, James Joe Smith (Linda) of Dugger, IN and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be at Fairview Cemetery on August 25, 2017 at 11:00 AM. There will be military rite by the Dugger American Legion post #224 and Linton American Legion post #22. Arrangements were entrusted to Newkirk’s Funeral Home.
