Wanda Lou Ridge, 80 of Sullivan, was called home by Jesus after a brief and courageous battle with a lung disease.
She was born in Sullivan Co., IN, February 14, 1937 the daughter, of Willard Goodman and Etta Gaines Goodman.
Wanda worked at the Sullivan Walmart, and housekeeping for years at Miller’s Merry Manor. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 31 years Paul “Pete” Ridge who died in 1985, also four brothers, Larry, Jim, Donald, and Dale Goodman, two sisters, Carolyn Payne and Jennie Street.
Survivors include a son, Jerry Ridge of Worthington, IN three daughters, Sara Gofourth (George) of Paxton, IN, Jenetta Pitts (Jeff) of Avon, IN, Darlene Ridge Walls of Sullivan, IN, three sisters, Wilma Cavanaugh of Linton, IN, Linda Kay Pfaff ( Glen) of Martinsville, IN, Kathleen Sarles (Dave) of Palmyra, IN., seven grandchildren, Tom Gofourth (Carmen), James Gofourth (Susan), Patrick Gofourth, Jennifer Pitts Barr (Steve), Jeffrey Pitts II (Paige), Wyatt Walls and Jessica Walls, five great grandchildren, Kennedy, Korinne, Kaycee Gofourth, Cara Gofourth, and Clare Barr. After the passing of her husband, she was with the love of her life for 21years, Ralph Boyer.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Newkirk’s Funeral Home in Dugger with Rev. David Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the Dugger Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 8:00 PM Monday with a Prayer and Memory celebration at 7:00PM led by a nephew, Darren Carey.
