Wesley R. Hansen

            Wesley R. Hansens, 57 of Jasonville, IN passed away Thursday, September 28, 2017. He was born October 22, 1959 in Sullivan, IN to Wesley Hansens and Shirley (Ishum) Hansens.  Wesley was an Army veteran and was a union carpenter.  He also owned several businesses.  He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and mushroom hunter; he also coached little league baseball for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one uncle, Jerry Hansens.

Survivors include his daughter, Danielle Higgs (Travis) of Charleston, IL, two sisters, Cheryl Knight (Dave) of Sullivan, IN and Rhonda Richardson (Steve) of Dugger, IN, one grandson, Raven Wogoman, his nieces and nephews, Casey Miller (Kari), Cory Miller (Jerrica), Chrissie Willis (Josh), Brittany Knight, Matthew Knight, and Nick Richardson, and several great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Newkirk’s Funeral Home in Dugger, IN Monday, October 2, 2017 at 1:00 PM with Pastor James Knight officiating. Visitation will be Monday October 2, 2017 from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in the Antioch Cemetery. Military graveside rites will be held by the Sullivan, Hymera, and Shelburn Legion Posts and the Sullivan VFW Post.
