Alfred R. Kendall

Alfred R. Kendall 80, of Dugger, IN passed away Thursday September27. 2023 at his residence.

            He was born in Sullivan County, IN August 17, 1943 the son of Frank Kendall and Cora A.(Sligar) Kendall.

            Alfred was a janitor at Union High School in Dugger , IN for37 years.

            He was preceded in death by his parents, also four brothers; Melvin, Ralph, Leon and Otis Kendall, three sisters;  Doris Phegley, Virginia Kendall, Opal Pearl, and his companion Juanita Gilbert

            He is survived by a sister, Berniece Phegley of Linton, IN. and several nieces and nephews.

            Funeral services will be at 1:00PM Monday, October 2, 2023 at Newkirk’s Funeral Home in Dugger, IN with Rev. Jerry Carmichael officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until services Monday. Burial in the Dugger Cemetery.
