Betty Lou (Bovenschen) Casey

Betty Lou Page Casey, 81, of Sullivan, IN passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.

            She was born on September 19, 1940, in Carlisle, IN the daughter of Alva Bovenschen and Oma Linn Bovenschen. 

            Betty was a member of the Indian Prairie Baptist Church and worked as a cook for the Pleasantville and Dugger Schools for 33 years.

            Betty’s love for our Lord and Savior was evident throughout her life.  She also loved and adored her family.

            She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Ronald Page, second husband, Robert Casey, sister, Sally Wolfe, grandson Chad Arthur and son in-law Mitch Arthur.

Survivors include her children, Barbara VanMeter (Mark) of Sullivan, IN, Terry Page (Melany) of Dugger, IN., Carla Arthur of Bicknell, IN and Don Page (Jennifer) of Wheatland, IN., a twin brother Robert Bovenschen (Norma) of Farmersburg, IN. She has 10 grandchildren: Ron Brock (Lynsey), Linsey Hannum (Desson), Nathan Page (Sarah), Daniel Page, Eric Arthur (Jessica), Jalayna Cary (Drew), Jarek Page (Janelle), Jaden Page (Paige) and Jarissa Page.  She has 8 great grandchildren: Mylee, Kynsey, Avery, Eli, Autumn, Mason, Jase, and Jansen.

            Funeral services will be at 11:00am, Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at Newkirk’s Funeral Home with Ken Bovenschen and Pastor Tim Ferree officiating. Interment will follow at Indian Prairie Cemetery located in Carlisle, IN. Visitation will be from 4:00PM until 8:00PM on Monday, April 4, 2022, at Newkirk’s Funeral Home in Dugger, IN.

            Betty provided meals for children at school for several years so, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Brown Baggers of Sullivan County. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home for consideration.
