Betty Lou (Reynolds) Chambers

Betty Lou Chambers, 67, of Sullivan, Indiana, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2015, at Terre Haute Regional Hospital.
She was born on August 14, 1948, in Cass, Indiana, the daughter of Gilbert Jefferson Reynolds and Doris June Bledsoe Reynolds. Betty graduated from Union High School, Ivy Tech, and Lincoln Trail colleges with degrees in nursing and was a registered nurse in Terre Haute and Sullivan.  She was a member of Shiloh Church of Christ.  
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Sandra Kay Crowe, Martha Jane Edwards, Barbara Lee Cooke, an infant sister, and an infant brother.
Survivors include her husband, Roy Bill Chambers, two daughters, Jennifer Chambers of Sullivan, and Sherri Chambers Matteson of Sullivan, three grandchildren, Dustan Newsom, Justin (Kayla) Newsom, and Clay Figg, and one great-grandchild, Kaylee Newsom.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 PM, Tuesday, September 1, 2015, at Newkirk’s Funeral Home with Bro J.B. Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Dugger Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, August 31, 2015, and from 10:00 AM until service time on Tuesday at Newkirk’s Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Sullivan County Humane Society.
