Billy J Alumbaugh

Billy  J. Alumbaugh, 53, of Shelburn, IN passed away Saturday,  November, 13, 2021, in Hymera, IN.

            He was born in Vincennes, IN on May 9, 1968, the son of Jerry Alumbaugh and Barbara Ashcraft Alumbaugh.

            Billy was a Green Beret in the US Army who served in Operation Desert Storm, and a member of the Linton Holiness Church. He was employed with the Indiana Railroad.

            He is survived by his father, Jerry Alumbaugh of Hymera, IN., his wife, Teresa Alumbaugh of Shelburn, IN two sons, Michael Hunter (Karie) of Shelburn, IN and Zack Hunter of Shelburn, IN, a brother, Jimmy Alumbaugh (Carol) of Shelburn, IN, one grand-daughter, Taylor Hunter.

            He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Alumbaugh.

            Funeral services will be at Newkirk's Funeral Home 2:00 PM Thursday, November 18, 2021,  with Rev. Howard Dick officiating. Burial in the Dugger Cemetery with Military Graveside Rites by the Sullivan Co. Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday and before services on Thursday.
