Billy Joe Bedwell

Billy Joe Bedwell, 91 of Indianapolis, IN. passed away December 21, 2020 at his residence.

            He was born in Dugger, IN September 29, 1929 the son of Roy Bedwell and Mildred (Gillum) Bedwell and raised by Faye and Hallie Goodman.

            He was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the U.S. Army, he was a member of the V.F.W. Post 2999 Indianapolis, IN, the American Legion Post 0103 of Mooresville, IN, and the Moose Lodge Post 17 of Indianapolis, IN.

            He was proceeded in death by his parents, his legal guardians, his wife, Patricia Lucille (Pugh) Bedwell, his son, Roy Ray Bedwell and his brother, Charles Ray Bedwell.

            Survivors include his daughter, Diana Bedwell of Indianapolis, IN,  and his companion Willa Hooker of Indianapolis, IN.

            A private family service will be Saturday December 26, 2020 at Fairview Cemetery in Linton, IN. A Military Graveside rite will be held by the Sullivan, Shelburn, Hymera Legion Posts, and Sullivan V.F.W. Post. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to your favorite animal charity.

Arrangements were entrusted to Newkirk’s Funeral Home in Dugger, IN.
