Carl M. McDaniel, 99, of Sullivan, Indiana passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Breckenridge Health and Rehab in Sullivan, Indiana.
He was born on August 18, 1915 in Wilfred, Indiana the son of Ephrem and Fern McDaniel. Carl was a veteran who served during WWII for the United States Army. He was a welder, farmer, mechanic and he retired from Ford. Carl was a member of the Hymera Masonic.
Preceded in death by his parents, wife Dorothy McDaniel on August 13, 1994, son Carl Edward McDaniel in 1978, one brother Oscar and two sisters Dorothy and Ruth.
Survivors include two daughters Mary Sue (Lee) Wakefield of Oregon and Doris (Mike) Chesterfield of Dugger, Indiana. He was also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Newkirk’s Funeral Home in Dugger, Indiana with Pastor Doug Cassel officiating. Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery in Farmersburg, Indiana. Friends may call from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, May 4, 2015 at Newkirk’s Funeral Home in Dugger, Indiana.
