Carlos McClain “Shep” Edmonson Jr., 73 of Jasonville, IN passed away Sunday January 5, 2020 at Roudebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis, IN.
Carlos was born in Greene County February 3, 1946 the son of Carlos Edmonson and Georgianna (Geatches) Edmonson.
He was a member of the Jasonville Masonic Lodge Post # 530, the Jasonville American Legion Post # 172, and a Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Judy (Wolfe) Edmonson whom he married on December 21,1968 with J. B. Smith officiating their service, three daughters, Angela Robinson (Eric) of Terre Haute, IN, Wendy Sexton (Rob Haseman) of Jasonville, IN, Mindy Roberts (Travis) of Brownsburg, IN, four brothers, Daniel Geatches (Donna) of Linton, IN, Rick Edmonson of Clermont, IN, Steve “Randy” Edmonson of Valdosta, GA, Edwin Edmonson of Lyons, IN, three sisters, Marilyn Rogers of Linton, IN, Teresa Graham (Raymond) of Newburg, IN, Rebecca Williams (Larry) of Plainfield, IN, six grandchildren, Christopher Lynch, Kaitlin Doyle, Alexis Sexton, Madison Roberts, Megan Roberts, and Nolan Roberts.
Funeral services will be held at Newkirk’s Funeral Home in Dugger, IN on Friday January 10, 2020 at 11:00 AM with Bro J.B. Smith officiating. Visitation will be Thursday January 9, 2020 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. There will be a Masonic service on Thursday at 7:00 PM. Interment will follow in the Dugger Cemetery in Dugger, IN with a military rites ceremony.
