David Joe Bedwell

David Joe Bedwell, 80, of Pleasantville, IN passed away Sunday, October 20, 2019 at Freelandville Community Home of Freelandville, IN.

            Joe was born on December 25,1938 in Jefferson Twp., Sullivan County, Sullivan, IN the son of David Clyde Bedwell and Dorthy Viola (Courtney) Bedwell.

            He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Janet Joan Gould.

            Joe was a retired coal miner for AMAX Coal Company.

            Survivors include his special friend of 25 years Debi Jackson of Pleasantville, IN, one son, David Bedwell (Debbie) of Freelandville, IN, two daughters, Beth Ann Clark (Mark) of Monroe City, IN, Sarah Lynn Bedwell (Tim Knight) of Vincennes, IN, two brothers, James R. Bedwell of Florida, Jerry Bedwell (Sherry) of Pleasantville, IN, two sisters, Judy Darlene Hartley (Layton) of Florida, Donna Dean Jackson (Jim) of Linton, IN, seven grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren.

            No service is scheduled. Arrangements were entrusted to Newkirk’s Funeral Home.
