Derell W Blake

Derell W. Blake, 93, of Dugger, IN, passed away at 5:45 AM Sunday, May 24, 2015 at Glenburn Nursing Home in Linton.
He was born in Sullivan Co, Indiana, March 8, 1922 the son of Frank Blake and Effie Booker Blake.
Derell was a member of the Church of Christ in Linton, and a WWII Army Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, also his wife, Sue Komechak Blake, two brothers; Ancil Blake, Drexel Blake and two sisters; Lodeema Marra, and Chlotine Thompson.
Survivors include one son; Gregory W. Blake (Tammi) of Dugger, IN, two grandchildren; Tabitha Simpson (Darin), Summer Lents (Rob), three great grandchildren; Blake , Brinna, and Brae Simpson, a sister in-law Lil Bartosh of Up State, New York, several nieces and nephews and many great, great great and great great great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Newkirk’s Funeral Home with Rev. Pat Kelly officiating. Burial will be in the Dugger Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday.
