Donald Thomas Shorter, 75, of Dugger, IN passed at 1:05 PM Saturday February 21, 2015 at Greene Co. Hospital in Linton.
He was born in London, Kentucky August 25, 1939 the son of James Aaron Shorter and Clara Ethel Clark Shorter.
Tom retired from General Housewares in Terre Haute.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife; Maxine Badger in 1980, ten brothers; Wayne, Bill, Pete, Harry, George, Leo, Fern, Victor, Edward and Hollan Shorter.
Survivors include one son; Scott Shorter of Lyons, one daughter; Martha Hollingsworth (Paul) of Dugger, IN, three sisters; Marilyn Manuel of Cass, IN, and Jean Worth (Tom) of Jasonville, IN, Rose Marie Smedley of Palatine IL, seven grandchildren; Joshua, Clay, and Abigail Hollingsworth, Austin, Emily, Raymond, and Timothy Shorter, two great grandchildren; Lucas and Benjamin Hollingsworth.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday February 25, 2015 at Newkirk’s Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Center Ridge Cemetery in Sullivan. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until services Wednesday.
