Dwight E Nielson

            Dwight E. Nielson ,77 of Dugger, IN passed away at his residence Monday, November 22, 2021.

            He was born in Morehead, Minnesota March 21, 1945 the son of Verlin Nielson and Francis Pearl Brady Nielson.

            Dwight was a retired Coal Miner at Minnehaha and Shinook Coal Mine, he was a US Marine Veteran, a member of the Dugger Masonic Lodge #721, the Dugger American Legion Post #224 and the VFW #1587 in Indianapolis, IN.

            He was preceded in death by his parents, also his first wife, Pamela Davis Nielson, one son, Scott Mason, and one sister.

            Survivors include his wife, Janet Nielson, two daughters, Jodie Nielson of Dugger, IN and Jamie Beaver of Marshall Town IA ,and seven siblings of Saltlake, UT, two grandchildren, Ryan and Cory and two great grandchildren, Madison, and Mason.

            Visitation will be Tuesday, November 30, 2021 5:00 PM to 8:00PM at Newkirk’ Funeral Home with a Masonic service at 7:00 P.M... A Military graveside Service will be held at a later date at the Dugger Cemetery in Dugger, IN.
