Edith R. (Russell) Blake

Edith Russell Blake, 95 of Linton, IN passed away Wednesday April 9, 2025 at Glenburn Senior Living in Linton, IN.

She was born in Coalmont, IN February 4, 1930 the daughter of Ed Russell and Maude Morse Russell.

            She was a member of the Baptist Church in Dugger, IN.

            Survivors include one son, Randy w. Blake (Karen) of Jacksonville, Fl., two daughters, Robin Blake Pilant (John) of Lewis, IN., Dana Blake Goodman of Linton, IN. 8 grandchildren: Sarah Cullison (Jason), John Pilant (Lora), David Pilant (Cathy), Scott Blake, Ben Goodman, 8 great grandchildren; Shannon, Phoebe, Gabriel, Elijah, Kason, Kasch, Kyler, Baylie, and 2 bonus grandchildren; Michael, and Jessyca.

            She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, R. Wayne Blake in 1993, 2 sisters; Olive Love, and Creola Morris, 7 brothers; Willis, Earl, Frank, Carl, Hubert, Oscar, Jim, and Gene Russell.

Edith was the last of the Russell Children.

            Funeral services will be at 2:00PM Monday, April 14, 2025 at Newkirk’s Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Talpas officiating.. Burial will follow in the Dugger Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00PM until 2:00PM Monday.
