Eleanor Louise Marcotte, 92, of Dugger, IN, went to be with our Lord Thursday, December 5, 2019.
She was born in Gary, IN, January 13, 1927, the daughter of Frank Burke and Mary Ann Steele Burke.
Eleanor was a member of the St. Peter Catholic Church in Linton, IN, St. Ann’s Altar Society, VFW Auxiliary in Linton, and American Legion Auxiliary in Linton. She also formerly worked at the Dugger Senior Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Frank, daughter Karen Ann Marcotte, and grandson Matthew Hardesty.
Survivors include her children Catherine Marie (Nicola) Gismondi of North Carolina, Mary Lynore (Allen) Fournier of Maine, Ralph Paul (Patty) Marcotte of Valpraiso, Gerald Wayne (Alice) Marcotte of Westfield, IN, Elaine (Larry) Hardesty of Carlisle, Jimmy (Shelley) Marcotte of Dugger, and Monica (Calvin) Bedwell of Linton, seventeen grandchildren, and twenty-six great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2019, at Newkirk’s Funeral Home with the rosary being said at 10:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. at St Peter Catholic Church in Linton with Father Biju Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Dugger Cemetery.
