Ernest Wayne “Bud” Medley, 79 of Dugger, IN. passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at his residence.
Bud was born on September 30, 1936 in Sullivan County, IN. the son of John Ernest Medley and Minnie Mounts Medley.
He was a member of Indian Prairie Baptist Church in Carlisle, IN. He was also a retired farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, John Kenneth Medley.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years Doris Cunningham Medley, children, Ronald Wayne Medley (Diana) of Carlisle, IN, Jerry John Medley of Colorado, Tim Medley (Kathy) of Carlisle, IN, Linda Simmons (Terry) of Linton, IN, Sandy Wilson (Dusty) of Odon, IN, one brother, Jerry Medley (Dianna) of Ohio, three sisters, Betty Howard of Carlisle, IN, Connie Reed (Loren) of Martinsville, IN, and Darlene Frye (Harvey) of Greenwood, IN, twelve grandchildren, Kristy Abrams, Eric Medley, Sophia Soladay, Philip Medley, James Medley, Sarah Pike, Darline Medley, Keisha Medley, Tyrel Simmons, Logan Simmons, Clay Wilson, and Ashtin Wilson and several great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Newkirk’s Funeral Home in Dugger, IN at 1:00 PM Thursday September 1, 2016 with Dusty Wilson and Rev Tim Ferree officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday and before services Thursday. Interment will follow in Mt Moriah cemetery.
