Obituary
Gale M. Usrey 78, of Dugger, passed away Friday, July 21, 2023 at Freelandville Community Home in Freelandville, IN.
He was born in Sullivan, IN August 19, 1944 the son of Max E. Usrey and Lois Hale Usrey.
Gale graduated from Pleasantville High School in 1966, was a board member of the Union Volunteer Fire Dept for 23 years was a member of the Mt. Moriah Church in Dugger, IN, the Sullivan Co Conservation Club, National Wild Turkey Federation, Sons of American Legion Post #139, and an NRA Member.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include cousins, Ron Hale of Sandborn, IN, Rita Hale of Noblesville, IN and Richard Hale (Toni) of Newburg, IN, also a best friend, Robert Russell (Lynn) of Carlisle, IN.
Graveside services will be at 2:00PM Thursday, July 27, 2023 at Mt. Moriah Cemetery with Bro. Buford Smith officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 10:00AM until 1:30 PM at Newkirk’s Funeral Home in Dugger, IN.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Union Volunteer Fire Dept. envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.
