Gary J. Enochs

Gary J. Enochs, 81 of Dugger went to be with the Lord Tuesday, February 11, 2025.

Gary was born in Sullivan, IN February 22, 1943 the son of Claude Enochs and Paulene (Bedwell) Enochs.

Gary graduated from Pleasantville High School in 1961 and married his high school sweetheart, Carolyn Near, on November 17, 1963. He was a retired Coal Miner from the Hawthorne Coal Mine, a 60-year member of the UMWA, a member of Faith Community Church in Dugger, IN and he was also on the Mt. Moriah Cemetery Board.

He was preceded in death by his parents, also his wife Carolyn (Near) Enochs in 2023.

Survivors include two daughters, Angela Dawn Boyd (Doug), and Tracy J Enochs Reeves (Chip), five grandchildren, Tesla Bree Draffin (Reed), Dreyson Quint Boyd (Michelle), Adley Merritt Reeves, Jostin Addison Reeves and Jadin Asher Reeves, and four great grandchildren, Rush Atlas Draffin,  Pippa Dawn Draffin, Lucy Nell Boyd and Loretta Kay Boyd.

Funeral Services will be at 2:00PM Thursday, February 13, 2025 at Faith Community Church in Dugger, IN with Pastor Shawn Farris officiating. A private burial service will follow in the Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00PM until 2:00PM Thursday at the Faith Community Church.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Faith Community Church, 5123 S. State Road 159, Dugger, Indiana.

Arrangements were entrusted to Newkirk’s Funeral Home.
