Helen Juanita Wagers, 81, of Jasonville, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at Terre Haute Regional Hospital in Terre Haute, IN.
She was born on June 29, 1932, in Elkton, KY, the daughter of Wimms Brewer and Anna Pearl Ogans. Helen graduated from Crispus Attucks High School in Indianapolis, and then attended IU Extension in Indianapolis. She worked at Ft Benjamin Harrison Finance Center in Indianapolis, Indiana as a key punch data operator for 15 years. She attended Emmanuel Apostolic Church in Hymera. Helen enjoyed fishing and camping.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Bennie W. Wagers of Jasonville who she married on May 22, 1970, two sons, William A. Farrington II (Karen) of Indianapolis, and Bennie C. Wagers, of Sebastopol, CA, one daughter, Faith A. Washington (Wayne) of Spokane, WA, one brother, Leonard King of Indianapolis, three sisters, Etta Hogans of Indianapolis, Joyce Anderson of Longview, TX., and Anthea Moreland (Kevin) of Indianapolis, six grandchildren, Adrian Washington, Ashley Washington, Austin Washington, Avery Washington, Alexandria Farrington, and William Farrington III, Six great-grandchildren, Sylvie, Ari, Isley, Rodney, Rylan, and Camden.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Saturday, April 19, 2014, at Newkirk’s Funeral Home with Minister Wayne B. Washington officiating. Friends may call from 11:00 AM until service time on Saturday.
