Hildred Alice (Hamlin) McGhee Wolfe

Hildred McGhee Wolfe, 101 of Speedway, IN passed away peacefully June 4, 2025 at her home. She was born December 20, 1923 in Greene Co., Indiana the daughter of Charles Hamlin and Mary Ritter Hamlin. Hildred was preceded in death by her parents, also her brothers, Manfred and Maurice Hamlin, a sister, Esther Nolley and husbands, Don McGhee and Charlie Wolfe. She is survived by a sister, Carol England (Cletus) of Speedway, IN, and niece and caregiver Carrie McGhee Gibson of Danville, IN. Hildred graduated from Worthington High School in 1941and lived an industrious life, retiring from General Electric in Linton, IN. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Dugger, IN. She loved playing scrabble, traveling, fishing and gardening. Graveside services will be at the Dugger Cemetery at 1:00PM Saturday, June 14, 2025 with Rev. Jerry Carmichael officiating. Arrangements were entrusted to Newkirk’s Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First Christian Church in Dugger, IN.
