Irene May (Wools) Phillips

Irene May Phillips, 84, of Linton, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at Glenburn Home in Linton.

She was born on November 23, 1933, in Vincennes the daughter of Ed Wools and Rosie Lee Wools. She was a lifetime member of the Linton Moose Lodge #1434. 

            She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Horace Phillips, and one grandchild, James Lee Austin.

Survivors include her son Ernie Phillips (Leona) of Linton, daughter Loretta Bean (Stephen) of Linton, five grandchildren, April Bland, Troy Bland, Steve Phillips, Jim Bradley Phillips, and Janice Higgins, and several great-grandchildren.

            Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Newkirk’s Funeral Home in Dugger. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery located in Lyons, Indiana. A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until service time on Saturday
