James Frederick” Fred” Fainot, 85, of Dugger, IN passed away at 2:55 AM Tuesday November 24, 2015 at Sullivan Co. Community Hospital.
He was born in Pleasantville, Indiana June 29, 1030 the son of Jim Fainot and May Poole Fainot.
Fred was a member of the Bethel Community Church in Dugger, the Dugger American Legion Post #224. He was an Army Veteran and retired from RCA after 35 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents also a brother Bob Fainot, and two sisters; Ramona and Betty Lou Fainot.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Wanda Dickey Fainot whom he married on November 2, 1959, a son Jim Fainot of Terre Haute, two daughters; Penny Cornelius (Larry) of Dugger, IN, Connie Loudermilk (Jay) of Sullivan, IN, six grandchildren; Bobby Cornelius, Lori Cornelius, Jesse Wolfe, Amanda Lumpp, Jennifer Maggart, and Sara Fainot, eight great grandchildren; Eloise Maggart, Hudson Maggart, Teegan Beggs, Gauge Lump, Jett Wolfe, Ivy Wolfe, Savanah Moore, and Drevon Cornelius.
Graveside services will be at 11:00AM Monday, November 30, 2015 at the Dugger Cemetery with Pastor Randy Tucker officiating. There will be Military graveside rites by the Dugger, Sullivan, Hymera, Shelburn Legion Posts and the Sullivan VFW Post. There will be no visitation. Arrangements were entrusted to Newkirk’s Funeral Home.
