John B. Dipley, 85, of Jasonville, IN passed away at 3:40 AM Sunday October 11, 2015 at Waters of Greencastle in Greencastle, IN.
He was born in Mont Clair, New Jersey July 13, 1930 the son of Roy Dipley and Christine Winerholm Dipley.
John was a retired Air Force Veteran, a member of the Dugger American Legion Post #224, and a member of the Whosoever Will Church in Dugger.
He was preceded in death by his parents, also one sister; Helen Bardzik, and three brothers; Walter, Roy, and Edward Dipley.
Survivors include his wife; Patricia McDaniel Dipley, three sons Tommy Dipley (Chrissy), Timothy Dipley (Tana) and Johnny Dipley, one step son Lee Dorsey (Kirsten) all of California, four daughter; Kathy Toner of Arizona, Marlene Henry (Kevin) of California, Robin Bragg (Roy) of Arizona, Celina Dipley of Jasonville, IN , three step daughters; Trisha Pickering (Matthew) of Jasonville, IN, Lisa Dorsey of Terre Haute, IN, Loretta Jackson (Kris) of Dugger, IN, 20 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 10:00AM Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at the Dugger Cemetery with Pastor Dan Dyer officiating. Military Graveside rites will be held by the Dugger and Sullivan American Legion Posts. Arrangements were entrusted to Newkirk’s Funeral Home.
