John M Hickman

                        John M. Hickman, 97 of Sullivan, IN passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Breckenridge Health and Rehab.

                        He was born February 4, 2018, the son of James Hickman and Thelma (Williams) Hickman. He was a 1938 graduate of Union High School. John was formally employed for Sprint Telephone C. He was a World War II Veteran, a member of the Dugger American Legion Post # 224, and a former Grand Chancellor of the Knights of Pythias in the state of Nevada.

                        John was preceded in death by his parents, and an infant brother.

                        He is survived by several cousins.

                        A graveside service will be held at Dugger Cemetery in Dugger, Indiana, at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, with Chaplain Al Riggle officiating. Military graveside rites will be held by the Sullivan, Shelburn, and Hymera Legion Posts and the Sullivan VFW. Arrangements were entrusted to Newkirk’s Funeral Home in Dugger, Indiana.
