Kathy S. (Wainman) Thompson

            Kathy S. Thompson, 69, of Linton, IN passed away Friday, September 29, 2023 at the Bridgepoint Health Campus in Vincennes, IN.

            She was born in Vincennes, IN October 19, 1953 the daughter of John Wainman and Wanda (Bond) Wainman.

            Kathy was a teller at Citizens Bank in Linton, IN and also retired from the Linton School as a Food Service Director.

            She was a member of the Salem UCC of Westphalia, IN and attended the Saron United Church of Christ in Linton, IN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, also her husband, Tim Thompson in 2020, and a brother, John Wainman.

            Survivors include two sons, Jared Thompson and Jordan Thompson both of Linton, IN, two brothers, Perry Wainman (Rose) of Greencastle, IN. and Sam Wainman of Linton, IN., a sister, Nancy Harden (Chuck) of Linton, IN and one granddaughter, McKinnley.

            She was a loving and attentive grandmother to McKinnley.

            Funeral services will be at 7:00PM Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at Newkirk’s Funeral Home in Dugger, IN. with Pastor Ron Haynes officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00PM until services Wednesday. There will be no burial cremation has been chosen.
