Kay Carol LaBaume, 57 of Linton, Indiana passed away Saturday, May 4, 2019 at her residence.
She was born in Tupelo, Mississippi on July 15, 1961 the daughter of Everett Rollie King and Helen Marie (Thompson) Williams. Kay graduated from Cobden High School. She was a member of the Moose Lodge 1434, American Legion Post 22 and VFW 7118.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers; Mayes King and infant Billie.
Survivors include two daughters; Kayla Newsom (Justin) of Fairfield, Illinois and Heather Cooksey (Jarod) of Linton, Indiana, son, Tyler LaBaume (Hannah) of Linton, Indiana, brother, Leroy King (Sandy) of Lansing, Michigan, eight grandchildren; Brandon King, Brock King, Cooper Cooksey, Kinsley LaBaume, Paisley LaBaume, Oakley LaBaume, Kaylee Newsom and Zachary Newsom and special friend James “Jim” Stevens.
Graveside funeral service will be at Dugger Cemetery in Dugger, Indiana on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Newkirk’s Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to the funeral home.
There will be a dinner following the service at the Linton American Legion.
