Lillian Joan (Reynolds) Litteken

Lillian Joan Reynolds Litteken, 88 of Red Bud, Illinois, and formerly of Cass, Indiana went to be with the Lord peacefully Saturday, April 22, 2023.

            She was born in Sullivan County, Indiana  June 16, 1934, the daughter of Homer “Buck” Reynolds and Ruby Fitzpatrick Reynolds.

            Joan as more people new her by was once employed at Duke’s Medical Office in Dugger, IN.  She was a member of The St. Agatha Catholic Church in New Athens, IL. She was a devoted wife, and loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed life living with her husband  of 47 years, whom she married on May  29, 1976 in their cabin on the Kaskaskia River in Illinois. She spent her time visiting friends and family. She enjoyed traveling back home to Indiana and out West. Her hobbies included attending the St. Louis Cardinals baseball games, gardening, canning, making homemade salsa and zucchini relish and feeding birds and hummingbirds.

She was preceded in death by her parents, also her son, Rick Hunt, two sisters, Sue Chambers, and Christina Ball and a grandchild, Tracie Hunt.

            Survivors include her husband, Marvin Litteken of Redbud, IL, two daughters, Gloria Blanton (Rick) of Linton, IN, Jeanie Houseknecht (Gerald) of Evansville, IN a son, Ray Litteken of Evansville, IN, a sister, Kathy Wolfe (Bobby) of Dugger, IN, 10 grandchildren, Leslie Turnell (Fred), Jennifer LeDune (Johnny), Kathy Ellis (Greg), Kelly Walton, Rachel Litteken, Garrett Houseknecht (Kaylin), Bonnie Jo Smith, Cassie Goebel (Curt), Lindsey Litteken,  Braydon Litteken, and Patrick Litteken, 19 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.

            There will be no services,  cremation has been scheduled with a celebration of Life at a later date.
