Lois Ann McCarty, 83 of Dugger, Indiana passed away July 9, 2023 at Sullivan County Community Hospital in Sullivan, Indiana.

Lois was born November 10, 1939 in Bloomfield, Indiana, the daughter of Virgil Helms and Lucille (Wilder) Helms. She was employed at Walmart then Glenburn Nursing home. She was a member of Hymera Southern Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Mona Brinner and a brother, Charles Helms.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years William McCarty, two sons, Vernon Brinner (Sandy) of Bloomfield, Indiana, Lee Brinner (Roberta) of Aurora, Illinois, a step-son, John McCarty (Lisa) of Kernersville North Carolina,a daughter, Stacy Reagan (Brandon) Gladsglow Kentucky, a step-brother two step-sisters, and eleven grandchildren, several great grandchildren.

Cremation was chosen. Services were entrusted to Newkirk’s Funeral Home in Dugger, Indiana.
