Mark A Carson

Mark A. Carson, 73 of Dugger, Indiana passed away March 17, 2025 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Mark was born in Vincennes, Indiana August 8, 1951 the son of Nobel (Buck) Carson and Helen Fay (Howder) Carson. He was a retired coal miner from Peabody Hawthorn Mine and the Operating Engineers Local 841. He was preceded in death by her parents, his wife, Kimbery Carson, a brother, Mike Carson, and a sister, Charlotte Strate. Survivors include two daughters, Leslie Nelson, of Dugger ,Indiana, Mendi Englert of Ferdinard, Indiana, three step-children, a sister, Trena Carson of Vincennes, Indiana, Brenda Carson of Ohio, three grandchildren, Kody Nelson, Logan and Landon Englert, four step-grandchildren, and one great grandchild, Brently Nelson. Funeral services will be held at Newkirk’s Funeral Home in Dugger, Indiana, 2;00 PM Friday, March 21, 2025, with Pastor Randy Tucker officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Mt Moriah Cemetery in Dugger, Indiana.
